Com2uS X Activision to be Working on a New Mobile Game!

A pigeon recently dropped us news on Korean giant mobile game company, Com2uS has recently signed up with Activision for a mobile game business. With big and successful titles coming from both of these giant game developers from different game worlds has put us up on our feet! So here’s what we know so far.

Com2us Ceo, Byeongjun Song recently announced that they have signed a contract with Activision for a mobile game business utilizing Activision’s game IP. While Activision is a giant game company themselves being a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, they have served us with games such as Skylanders, Call of Duty and the ever awesome Destiny. 

The contract will allow Com2uS to take charge of some of Activision’s IPs for a mobile game production and worldwide service. Their plan is to provide for a development of high-quality games and a successful global service to build the best of competitiveness in the market.

With this partnership blossoming, Com2uS will be one of the biggest game company with a global reputation centered in North America and Europe, representing South Korea. In addition to that, the global status of Com2uS which was established through their top mobile game, Summoners War, will be expecting to lead a strong synergy based on its expertise and competitiveness in each field.

What they will be developing based on Activision’s IP is Skylanders. With Skylanders‘ success pioneering toys-to-life genre, they have recorded more than $3.5 billion sales globally with 300 million figures sold and being the 11th largest console franchise game. They also have an animation produced through Netflix!

We were informed that Com2uS is already developing Skylanders as a mobile RPG with a real-time turn system which centers on real-time battles between players. The game is planned to be released in the first half of 2018. Hopefully more details and some screenshots will be released to us as this is one of the largest collaboration and a unique one from a mobile gaming company with a console gaming company.
