Collect All Your Favorite Heroes in Weekly Jump: Orecollection!

Bandai Namco is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year with a new mobile game release, Weekly Jump: Orecollection! (Weekly Jump My Collection). The game is a card game based with a collection of cards featuring all your favorite Shonen Jump characters! Currently the game is only available in Japan’s App Store and Play Store.

Unlike many other RPG games out there where you get to collect heroes that “look like” that one Shonen Jump character you like with some “pretty much the same” skills, this however is a more legit game without any copy right infringement! Since Bandai Namco owns pretty much most of the IPs that are derived from anime and manga, it is about time they created a game featuring the Weekly Jump characters.

The game is simple and easy to understand. You start off by forming a party of 5 consisting of your Shonen Jump characters and progress through the story mode. The story mode is interesting because it is derived from the classic Arcs from different Mangas that we love. Players will be able to collect different Manga pages when each story chapter is completed. When players complete the different Manga pages, it will form into a mini Weekly Jump magazine!

There are plenty of Mangas that are included into the game and there might be some which we may not be familiar with. So this could be a good platform to explore whichever Mangas that we are unfamiliar with to pique our interest in picking it up to read.

Hopefully this game will be planned for a global release as most of the Anime and Manga are recognized worldwide. This could be a huge stepping stone for Bandai to take the top-grossing spot in the mobile games market.
