27 September 2021 is supposed to be the launch date of Code Geass Genesic ReCode, the mobile game for the Code Geass franchise, which has now been delayed to 4 October 2021. This would be the second time Code Geass Genesic ReCode has been delayed, since its original release window was Spring 2021. The official Twitter’s statement essentially boiled down to “improving the service environment”, assuring that the game has completed development. In the mean time, various promotional videos will be released in due course.
From what we know of the game so far, the story seems to revolve around the theme of “revenge” – apparently over a million words in length – with two “modes”: one looking to be the main story to delve deeper into the series’ mysteries and the other leaning more towards the predecessor characters. Additionally, there will also be other stories within the game, one of which revealed to be the “Crimson of the Blood Pact” arc.
Two Battle Modes were previewed at an earlier livestream event. The story mode ones see units appearing as chibi characters, where you can unleash your Geass in the fight. The other will see you command both Knightmare Frames and characters, one implied to be a more strategic mode. You can see the Story Battle previewed below.
