Following up on the gameplay details of their upcoming mobile MOBA game, Square Enix announced the closed beta for Battle of Blades. Players will be able to try most of the features in this testing, which lasts until 23:59 on 5 November 2017 (GMT +9). Saves will of course not be able to be carried over to the official release. Also, there are only 2,000 slots available.
Setting itself apart from games of its ilk and to recap, Battle of Blades surprisingly has a single player campaign. As with other games in the genre, characters here are split into different roles such as Attackers, Supporters or Balanced. Each boasts their very own Skill Tree which you can customise accordingly to your play style. With more than 60 collectible characters, there will be many for you to assemble. New characters can be obtained through the story mode, events and of course, Gacha.
The game modes you can expect from this game in addition to the usual PVP Deathmatch, is capture the point and raid. Each mode lasts about only three minutes, so each round will feel just right in terms of length. Be sure to sign up now if you want to give this game a go.
