#SQkawaii Sounds – Final Fantasy, a set of songs reimagining the music of the Final Fantasy franchise into more cuter, club-friendly cuts, is now available to purchase physically and digitally. Along with a selection of tracks available to listen to on various streaming services and on a special YouTube Mix.
Multiple artists collaborate to arrange the “future kawaii bass” sound that fuses extremist upbeat dance music with a sugar rush beat that offers angles that define the long-running music of the franchise into something entirely new, sparkly and energetic.

This set features rewrites of 20 carefully selected Final Fantasy tracks from various installments that were originally composed by renowned musicians in the franchise such as Nobuo Uematsu, Masayoshi Soken and more. This edition aims to remix the franchise’s dramatic, orchestrational scores into bubbly and heart-lifting beats reinterpreted by a line of producers like picco and Yuki Hirose.
Along with the selected tracks, #SQkawaii Sounds collaborates with Square Enix character designer Yasuhisa Izumisawa to illustrate special jacket art of all Final Fantasy heroines and mascots drawn together in an arcade setting.
Listeners are able to participate in the hype revolving around the album’s release in Square Enix’s official Discord server.
