Clash Royale players are in for a treat, as the popular game will be getting a brand new mode, which seems to play in a different way compared to what has been put out so far. Known simply as Touchdown, the mode is played in 2v2 fashion. The video below has the developer showing off what the mode entails.
This draft-only mode is played on a field with no towers, rivers, or bridges and is instead played on a field with two end zones, one on each side. If you are thinking American Football, this is essentially what the mode entails. For every time a troop walks into the end zone, you gain a crown. You win the game upon getting three crowns. Majority of your minions can only be played within a specific area of the field, although spells can be played anywhere.
That said, some cards are excluded from the Touchdown mode as they would likely break game balance, including Hog Rider, Miner, Flying Machine, Mega Knight, Bats and Cannon, among others. The mode will be made available sometime this month, so stay tuned.
