Chun-Li from Street Fighter maintained her top position as the most searched video game character for the second consecutive year. Lara Croft, the iconic protagonist from the Tomb Raider series, climbed to second place, up from fourth in 2023. Tifa from Final Fantasy rounded out the top three, sliding down one spot from her second-place position in the previous year.

The gaming landscape saw some interesting shifts in 2024. Fortnite continued its dominance, remaining the most searched video game for the fourth year running. Genshin Impact made a significant jump, climbing four spots to claim second place, while Pokémon secured the third position, moving up one spot. Fallout saw a remarkable surge, rocketing up 14 spots likely due to the release of its TV show adaptation. Final Fantasy also experienced a notable boost, jumping 10 spots following the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. In contrast, Overwatch and Minecraft, previously popular, both dropped two spots in the rankings.
