Blind Chinese athlete, Hu Mingyao, has won the hearts of netizens for bearing a striking resemblance to Jujutsu Kaisen character Satoru Gojo.
As seen in the featured image above, both the athlete and the jujutsu sorcerer wear a black mask and have white hair. Needlessly to say, both are extremely skilled at their work, with Gojo being one of the strongest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen and Hu representing China in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Apparently, the Chinese athlete is not trying to look like Satoru Gojo by dyeing his hair white on purpose. The 26-year-old Hu’s hair colour is due to albinism.
Born in Wenzhou in the Zhejiang province of China, Hu has been competing as a goalball athlete for over a decade. He won the Asian Para Games back in 2010 and was a runner up in 2014 and 2018.
According to paralympic.org:
The basic premise of goalball is to score goals by quickly and precisely throwing a 1.25kg ball and defending shots from the opposing team. Each team has three players on court who can use their entire body to stop the ball, throwing themselves to the floor in the right position. The floor is not cushioned and there is no face protection other than eyeshades, making goalball a tough sport both mentally and physically. To make it even more challenging, the goals span the width of the 9m court.
