With the first teaser of Chainsaw Man’s new upcoming movie Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc released back in December 2023, the movie is now set to enter Malaysian theatres this October. The venues for the movie’s screening will take place in GSC and TGV, however both dates of release will be different.
For TGV Cinemas, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will release on October 28 whereas GSC will release two days later on October 30.

The plot of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will follow suit after the Katana Man Arc, in which the main protagonist Denji and his group had a rough encounter with rogue figures of his past in search of his heart, Pochita. In the Reze Arc, or Bomb Girl Arc in the manga, Denji will experience many firsts in his life when it comes to fleeting love and unconditionally accepting others as they are as they come and go.
There has been many speculation as to how the movie can truly adapt the manga’s arc to its fullest. Much like many anime movies in recent years that cut out many significant moments to fit everything perfectly into an hour and thirty minutes, it may give many fans the benefit of the doubt. Fans of the manga have also been known to disregard the 2022 anime adaptation as unfaithful, but a wider majority appreciate its cinematic adaptation instead of attempting to copy the mangas cartoonish storytelling. If the Reze Arc is adapted similarly to the anime, it would still be considered a faithful adaptation.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will release in Japan on September 19. A second teaser trailer is linked below which was released in December 2024 as well as new character art for each of the protagonists and antagonists featured in the movie posted on X.
