Chainsaw Man censorship is a topic that would scare fans of the series, fortunately, MAPPA CEO will be staying faithful to the manga and will not be having censorship in the anime adaptation.
The staff of the production committee for the Chainsaw Man anime adaptation had held an exclusive panel during Anime Expo 2022, where the committee members, along with MAPPA’s CEO, Hamura Otsuka, went about answering questions that fans brought up during the panel.
According to Anime Senpai, one of the particular question that a fan had brought up during the Q&A panel is that, “will the script be censored? And how will the gore be handled in the anime?” To which the committee replied: “No, we want all the content to be raw, like in the manga. We are not going to censor anything. We want to be faithful to the original material”.
During the panel, Otsuka has revealed that the staff had originally planned on releasing something for the fans but was ultimately scrapped due to a time restraint.
But worry not, as fans can be expecting new Chainsaw Man information during the Crunchyroll Expo, which will be held on August 5, 6, & 7, this Summer.
Chainsaw Man censorship will fortunately not be a worry for fans as having the anime adaptation being faithful to the source will definitely be a big relief to fans of the series, since the rawness of the violent and brutal scenes from the manga panels are arguably one of the biggest appeal of the manga.
Chainsaw Man is set to be release 2022 this year while the second part of the manga will be released soon, on July 13th 2022.
