[CES 2024] ASUS Announces the Zenbook DUO That Features 14-inch Dual-Screen OLED Displays

ASUS has announced the latest additions to their consumer laptop lineup, the star being the ASUS Zenbook DUO.

Zenbook DUO (2024) UX8406

The Zenbook DUO (2024) is an AI-powered 14-inch dual screen laptop that features a detachable full-size Bluetooth ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad, and weighs at 1.35kg.

The dual full-size up to 3K 120 Hz ASUS Lumina OLED 16:10 displays are joined by a lay-flat 180º hinge which expands the visual workspace up to 19.8 inches, which can be used in either vertical or horizontal orientations.

For recharging, the keyboard connects to pogo pins on the edges of the lower screen, aided by magnets for positioning.

The laptop features up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI acceleration, 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory, up to a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a 75 Wh battery lifespan, and a Harman Karon-certified Dolby Atmos audio system.

ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405 / UM3406)

Weighing at 1.2kg and 14.9mm thin Zenbook 14 OLED is a laptop powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and Intel Arc graphics (UX3405), or the AMD Ryzen 8040 series processors and AMD Radeon graphics (UM3406).

Both processor platforms incorporate dedicated hardware AI acceleration with built-in AI engines that optimise performance and power efficiency.

The Zenbook 14 OLED has a 75 Wh battery life, and comes equipped with a handful of I/O ports, including 2 x Thunderbolt 4 (UX3405) or USB 4.0 (UM3406), USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 (TMDS), and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The laptop features up to 3K ASUS Lumina OLED 120 Hz display and comes equipped with other various features such as an FHD IR camera, and ASUS ErgoSense keyboard with a large ErgoSense touchpad.

ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (N6506)

ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED offers up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with an integrated NPU AI engine, NVIDIA GeForce RTX Laptop GPU with a MUX switch, 24 GB DDR5 RAM, and a 2 TB NVMe SSD.

The laptop boasts a 16:9 aspect ratio 3K 120 Hz ASUS Lumina OLED display and a 0.2 ms response time; on top of an assortment of I/O ports such as Wi-Fi 6E, Thunderbolt 4, USB-C and Type-A ports, and HDMI 2.1.

ASUS Vivobook S Series

The ASUS Vivobook S Series features the intel-powered models Vivobook S 14/15/16 OLED (S5406 / S5506 / S5606), while the AMD -powered versions are the Vivobook S 14/15/16 OLED (M5406 / M5506 / M5606).

The Intel Evo Edition ASUS Vivobook S series laptops (S5406 / S5506 / S5606) are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors with up to a 45-watt TDP and a built in Intel AI Boost Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

Meanwhile the AMD-powered ASUS Vivobook S series laptops (M5406 / M5506 / M5606) are equipped with AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors, boasting a TDP of up to 45 watts, as well as built-in Ryzen AI acceleration.

The (S5606 / M5606) models cine with ASUS Lumina OLED displays with resolutions up to 3.2K along with 120 Hz refresh rates, a 100% DCI-P3 gamut and DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification.
