Capcom is the first guest announced to join the gamescom asia 2023 lineup, as part of the physical Entertainment Zone.
The Entertainment Zone is a Business to Consumer (B2C) event, and will run from 20th October to the 22nd.
On the 20th, the session is limited to the Business Visitors as well as pre-registered fans.
“We are extremely excited to open the Entertainment Zone onsite to the public for the first time this year”, said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Vice President for Asia-Pacific of gamescom asia organizer Koelnmesse Pte Ltd. “We know it has been long anticipated by passionate fans and gamers and look forward to welcoming them to gamescom asia. As the team works to put up a good show this year with new highlights and expanded mainstays, we invite companies to join us and make gamescom asia the premier Southeast Asian destination to showcase and testbed their games, latest gaming products and services, and reach an audience that is unique to the region”.
Public tickets will be available at the end of July, though registration for Trade and Industry members is already open.
Capcom is the first but not last partner to be announced for the gamescom asia Entertainment Zone, which will offer visitors a chance to try out games on-site, as well as a stage for events and a zone for indies.
Additionally, gamescom asia notes that cosplay is encouraged for the Entertainment Zone as well.
Previously, the event had also announced Indie Wavemakers, a package to better show off indie games that also includes various spotlight features for smaller titles.
