An official Facebook fan page of Capcom Thailand has been opened, which is a piece of great news for Capcom fans in Thailand for localized news.
As spotted by Thai news media GAMER555, Capcom now has an official Capcom Thailand Facebook page – freshly opened in fact, with only 2 posts published as of writing.
“Welcome to the Facebook official fan page of Capcom Thailand! We are extremely excited to have so many gamers and fans passionate about the game in Thailand joining the page. This page is a hub for everything about Capcom for Thais. Whether it’s the launch of a new game, updates, or special events, we’ve got it all covered here,” the page’s first post wrote.
This came a few months after a job posting by Capcom Singapore, where the Southeast Asian branch seeks to hire Senior Marketing Executives proficient in Thai or Indonesian language to join its Singapore office.
Capcom has placed great effort into expanding its presence in Southeast Asia as of late, especially with the establishment of a Singapore subsidiary.
In an interview we did with Bian Li, the Managing Director of Capcom Singapore, he noted that the key goal of a Southeast Asian subsidiary is to “understand and cater to the Southeast Asian gaming market”.
It is great to see that Thailand has gotten a localized official fan page for Capcom, allowing Thai fans to gain news of their favorite games swiftly and hopefully local activities.
