Capcom has launched a popularity poll to find out out players favorite monster in the Monster Hunter series as part of its 20th Anniversary celebrations.
The Monster Hunter Poll will be running until December 20th, and lets players make a single vote from the entire pantheon of large monsters from across the series history.
Users will need to log in with their Capcom ID to cast their vote to prevent duplicate votes.
It should be noted that the poll does differentiate between subspecies, with votes between Brachydios and Raging Brachydios counted separately, for example.
Capcom says that the top 3 Monsters from this poll will be used for an original illustration to be made by the game’s development team.
As an aside, series Series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto had previously commented that Jyuratodus made it into later games specifically because of its unpopularity, while also remarking that the suspiciously shaped Khezu was his own personal favorite monster.
Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Celebrations
The poll is a fun part of the ongoing celebrations for Monster Hunter’s 20th anniversary- the first celebration event started with key art for the game showing all the various hunter types across the game series.
Monster Hunter is one of Capcom’s biggest titles, with Monster Hunter World being Capcom’s highest selling game and the newer Monster Hunter Rise being right behind it with 19.1 million and 13.6 million units sold respectively.
The series recently branched out to mobile with the release of Monster Hunter Now, a location-based mobile game that launched this year.
