Capcom has officially unveiled Capcom Fighting Collection 2, a new compilation of classic fighting games set to launch in 2025 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This collection brings together eight renowned titles from the late 1990s and early 2000s, including some of Capcom’s most celebrated crossover collaborations with SNK.
The lineup features a mix of 2D and 3D fighting games, as well as competitive action titles. Headlining the collection are the SNK crossover games “Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro” and “Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001,” which bring together iconic characters from both companies’ franchises.
Other notable inclusions are “Capcom Fighting Evolution,” “Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER,” “Project Justice,” and both entries in the “Power Stone” series. The collection rounds out with “Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein.”
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will introduce several modern features to enhance these classic titles. All games will support online play, including casual matches, ranked battles, and custom lobbies. A new training mode will allow players to practice moves and combos, while a gallery mode will showcase concept art and music from the games.
The collection also aims to make the games more accessible to newcomers with features like one-button special moves and customizable controls. However, fighting game purists can still enjoy the original arcade experience with optional screen filters and adjustable display settings.
With its diverse lineup of fighting games and modern enhancements, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 looks to offer both a nostalgic trip for longtime fans and an accessible entry point for new players when it releases in 2025.
