It’s never a dull day in the newsroom. We’ve just received a nice little present from our friends at Asus ROG- only catch is, we’re not quite sure what it is.
So this is where you come in, dear reader. Attached here is a link to the two things we were given- a sheet full of numbers, and a thumbdrive full of files. We’re pretty sure it’s something to promote the new ROG Phone 3, but we can’t be sure until we find out.
The scanned document was a physical letter also sent to us. It might just look like a garbled list of numbers and letters, but our money’s on it being some kind of hexadecimal code. It’s a pretty long document, so put on a nice podcast if you’re going to decode this by hand.
The other two files are the contents of a thumbdrive. After defying the instructions in their name, it looks like the pieces of a screenshot.
Are you a master decoder? Send your entries (a text file for the decoded message, an image format for the photos) to [email protected] with the subject line “ASUS ROG” so we can get to the bottom of this.
Good luck!
