Call of Duty: Modern Warfare now officially has a battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Warzone. It’ll be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC for free 10 March!
150 players will be dropping into Verdansk in this battle royale mode, looting weapons and gear to fight to be the last team standing. To spice things up, features like Cash, which can then be collected and exchanged for equipment, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks or Revive Tokens. Contracts are also available as optional mini-missions for squads to take on in order to gain rare loot, Cash, XP and Weapon XP.
Even if you’re eliminated, Warzone offers you the chance to return to the fight from The Gulag. Slug it out with other eliminated players in a 1 v 1, winner-takes-all gunfight. Cash items can also revive players should you get them.
Call of Duty: Warzone has a second mode in Plunder. Here, teams will be racing to collect as much Cash as possible in this large-scale mode. Raid those Supply boxes, eliminate opponents, complete contracts or control Cash deposit locations and rack up that dollar! Plunder will have unlimited respawns with your loadouts, killstreaks and more.
Crossplay will be supported between consoles and PC for Warzone, so players can have unified progression across the title. Battle pass rewards and purchased items will carry over into Warzone from Modern Warfare. As Warzone is a free-to-play mode, you do not need a full copy of Modern Warfare.
