Activision Blizzard have announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be releasing on November 10, 2023.
The announcement was through a teaser video posted on Call of Duty‘s official social media pages.
The teaser begins with the iconic green waves, possibly a callback to the aesthetics of the original Modern Warfare 3 released in 2011, then the green gradually shifts to red, suggesting that the series might take an even darker direction in this latest sequel.
Snippets of dialogue from series legend Captain Price and Shadow Company boss Phillip Graves, previously thought to be dead after the events of 2022’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, can also be heard.
Apart from the release date, little else has been disclosed about the third entry in this reboot series, leaving fans in anticipation for more information as the release date draws near.
Players who were disappointed with Modern Warfare II will be hoping that this latest installment proves to be a more satisfying experience, and that their issues and criticisms from the previous game will be addressed.
No platform announcements have been made yet, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is expected to release on major platforms, including PS4 and PS5, based on Microsoft‘s commitment to keeping Call of Duty available on PlayStation after their potential acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
