In March, we posted an announcement about pre-registration. Now, Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Mobile will come with a Battle Royale mode.
Activision has claimed that the Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty: Mobile will be a “unique take on the genre”, and that it will have differences from the PC version’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout. Up to 100 people can play in a single game and you fall from the air without any gear, just like any Battle Royale game out there. Moreover, these matches could take place in one of many famous locations from the previous Call of Duty games!
What’s interesting is that you get to choose from one of six classes: Defender, Mechanic, Scout, Clown, Medic, and Ninja. All classes have their roles and special skills that do different things. Where such a concept will really shine is in co-op or a competitive mode. In fact, Activision confirms that Single, Two-person and Four-person playlists (likely for coop mode) are being tested.
Another feature that’s great is teammate revival. Having this adds another element of tactics to the game, making it more than just a best-survivor-wins mode.
