Aniplex has announced the release date for the upcoming Build Divide anime, titled Build Divide #0000 Code:Black.
According to the newly-released PV, the Build Divide anime will release in October, 2021 as part of the fall anime lineup. They’ve also already announced that the second season will release in April of 2022 as part of the spring lineup.
The PV also gives us more of a glimpse into the setting of the world- Build Divide takes place in the city of New Kyoto, where card games are integrated into society itself. Teruhito Korabe is the protagonist, being able to summon what appears to be the signature card of his deck, called a Guard.
Despite the PV, we still know very little about the actual world of Build Divide. That being said, we were shown more of the main cast, several of which will be getting decks seemingly themed around them at the launch of the Build Divide card TCG.
The anime will be directed by Yuki Komada, and will feature scripts by Yoriko Tomita and characters designed by Shinpei Tomooka. While the Build Divide project was created by Kakegurui creators Homura Kawamoto and his brother Hikaru Mono, it doesn’t look like they’ll be involved in the anime itself.
