Revealed in September of this year, BREAKERS: Unlock the World by VIC Game Studios is the next big mobile RPG in the realms similar to Genshin Impact, Tower of Fantasy, and the upcoming Wuthering Waves.
With the G-Star 2023 event currently underway in South Korea, the developers have revealed much more about BREAKERS: Unlock the World, showcasing a 25-minute-long gameplay video and a new trailer that features a catchy theme song.
What We Know So Far
BREAKERS: Unlock the World is a high fantasy RPG currently in development by VIC Game Studios, the same guys behind Black Clover M: Rise of the Wizard King.
The game is set to be released for Android, iOS, and Windows PC as a free-to-play title with some form of item-based microtransaction, and no official release date has been announced yet.
VIC Game Studios has also not unveiled if the game will be released outside of Japan and South Korea yet.
Its gameplay revolves around adventuring across the continent of Seraphia, completing quests, interacting with the various NPCs around the world, and clearing dungeons with the many playable characters.
For battle sequence, the game features real-time 3D combat where players control a character in a party of three and members can be switched around depending on the situation.
Each character has access to a regular skill and an ultimate ability, as well as a distinct class and element.
Story
Set in the world of Seraphia, a continent now torn asunder after angels battle each other in conflict, scattering the broken pieces of the “Eyes of the Angel” across the continent as a result.
As the fragments fell to the lands, unnatural beings emerged while humans gained extraordinary powers, sparking unprecedented chaos and prosperity to be enveloped across Seraphia.
The continent then branched off into independently developed regions, from industrial cities to natural woodlands and polluted ruins.
Connections between each land were severed by magical pollution, however, adventurers eventually traverse the skies in airships despite intercontinental traffic ceased for a while.
As such, the adventurers were called Breakers, the ones who break the boundaries of the world and only have a purpose in mind: to reach the Library of God, a place of legend said to have never been reached, where all knowledge before the division is accumulated.
As noted, there is no release date announced for BREAKERS: Unlock the World yet and developers have also not revealed if the game will be released outside of Japan and South Korea.
