If you’ve missed our review, Bounty of Blood, the third and latest of four campaign add-ons for Borderlands 3 is now available. Owners of the Super Deluxe Edition and Season Pass of Borderlands 3 will have the DLC. It can also be purchased separately, but does require the base game to play it.
The sheriff of Vestige on the harsh frontier planet of Gehenna has issued a bounty on the violent, beast-riding Devil Riders gang, and it’s time to collect. The townsfolk are tough as hell and will do what they can to help, but it falls on you to take the fight to the Devil Riders. Put them in the ground so the town can be rebuilt and folks can get back on their feet.
Traverse the open plains of Gehenna on the new, heavily-armed Jetbeast vehicle! Four new interactive objects will be adding the spice of life to your run and gun encounters. Enjoy the company of an unseen narrator as you tackle new story and side missions. Rebuild the town of Vestige, where each of your successes has a tangible impact. Take on a host of additional Crew Challenges, like tracking down treasure or claiming bounties on beasts and bandits alike. Last but not least, there will be, of course, the collection of new Legendary loot and cosmetics pried from the cold, dead hands of rowdy gang members and feral critters.
Look for the wanted poster on the table in front of the Quick Change station on Sanctuary III, or create a new Vault Hunter and select New Game to choose to jump right into Gehenna. The level cap increase to 60 is free and available to all Vault Hunters.
Additional tweaks to Mayhem Mode 2.0 and Takedown at the Guardian Breach are included in the update, including new Guardian Rank skills, new class mods, additional damage scaling to skill damage, and more. Full details here.
Only English and German voice-overs are available at launch for Bounty of Blood due to complications from COVID-19, but localized subtitles are available where applicable.
