Steam users will finally be getting the chaotic looter shooter Borderlands 3 on 13 March 2020! Players can add the game to their Steam Wishlist as they prepare their wallets to embark on the grand shootout across the galaxy.
Borderlands 3 will be launching globally, officially, finally, on Steam at 2200 GMT +8 / 2300 JST/KST 13 March 2020. Preorders and preload will also be open to players on the morning of 11 March. On completing Steam Preload, you can launch the game as soon as it opens on 2200 GMT +8 / 2300 JST/KST 13 March.
With PC Crossplay support thanks to SHiFT matchmaking, you can play with other PC players without regard to them buying the game on Steam or Epic Games Store. A FAQ has also been provided that you may check out for yourselves here. To note, in-game mail will only be between the same storefront for now (e.g. Steam users only to Steam) and will be patched in later, and console crossplay is currently not in the works as yet. Transferring save files is also possible, but it will need to be done manually. Details will be provided closer to launch.
You can check out our review of the base game here. The first of the four planned paid expansions for the game, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot has also launched, which you can check out here.
