Blue Archive will be delayed to early 2021 instead, according to the official Twitter announcement. The game had a closed beta some time back, that gave a good look at the real time action gameplay. While there is no given new release date, players from the closed beta have noted several changes, including:
- Revamping artwork for characters
- Revamping skill cut-in animations
- Smoother UI transitions
- Saving dorm set ups
- Live2D Memorial Lobby scenes to all characters
Regarding further details about specific mechanics, there are some areas they have yet to address, including:
- Drop rates of “shards” required to upgrade girls
- Manual control / commands for certain game modes e.g. raids
- Precise gacha mechanics
The game hasn’t announced anything regarding pre-registration bonuses as well, with the official website still pretty barren with regards to actual information on the game. Now that Blue Archive has been delayed, we probably won’t know much about that until they decide they’re ready to launch.
The basic premise of the game sees you take on the role of a teacher who takes their students to apparently solve mysteries in the city they live in. There’s nothing about an international release as of yet, so that’s another round of waiting all of us will need to do.
