Bloober Team has unveiled their first full gameplay trailer for their upcoming survival game, Cronos: The New Dawn.
As they are the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake, they do not disappoint in delivering their best eerie and horrific performances in their games.
This first trailer will showcase a new innovative mechanic known as the Merge, which will change the ways players will confront enemies and turn each encounter into a nightmarish experience.
Cronos: The New Dawn is set in two separate time periods – the ruins of a post-apocalypse set in the future and late 80’s Poland. The game will take players to the district of New Dawn, taking real-life inspiration from Nowa Huta. Players will take charge of a character known as Traveller, an agent of the Collective, travelling back in time from a dystopian future to save certain numbers of people before they reach their end.
In a world of horror and destruction, the player will encounter enemies known as Orphans – who are twisted deformities from the darkest depths of a humans worst nightmares.
In the trailer, a certain tagline from the reveal leads up to one of the games important mechanics – Don’t Let Them Merge: enemies will not stay dead for long.

If the bodies aren’t burnt, their fallen carcasses can still be absorbed by any existing enemies through Merging.
Aside from the revealed combat, Cronos: The New Dawn also showcases an exciting range of features. Players will get a peek into the games selection of weapons and enemies set against falling Brutalist architecture and amalgamations of horror with the ability to warp reality itself.
The game’s soundtrack will be created by award-winning composer Arkadiusz Reikowski, in collaboration with Arkadiusz and Polish-Ukranian indie folk band Zazula. Certain tracks will feature chilling vocals, that will create a horrific and ethereal soundscape blending synth with avant-garde samples.
