Blizzard Entertainment has announced the next expansion for World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic, this time going to the Cataclysm expansion.
Following the success of Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the next step for WoW Classic would naturally be the fight against Deathwing in Cataclysm, which launches some time in 2024.
It adds Heroic+ difficulties for the Cataclysm Dungeons, as well as appropriate rewards for the content.
Additionally, transmogs will carry over between all characters, allowing for greater customization for players with multiple alternate characters.
They also confirmed that the expansion would also be speeding up the patch cadence as well as leveling speed to get players to level 80 faster.
Aside from the newer features, Cataclysm Classic will also add new races to the game just like its original release- with Goblins for the Horde and Worgen for the Alliance.
It also adds more options for race/class combinations , giving players more room for expression alongside the previously mentioned transmog system.
It’s been a big day for World of Warcraft news- alongside WoW Classic taking the next big step, the retail version of World of Warcraft had also just announced its next three expansions following the end of Dragonflight via its final patch.
