[BlizzCon 2019] VKLiooon becomes Hearthstone Grandmaster Global Finals Champion

Congratulations to VKLiooon, for being the first woman to be the Hearthstone Grandmaster Global Finals champion! She made an incredible run through the bracket, being pulling through undefeated in series, and now. She took down bloodyface in a clean 3-0 sweep, landing the finishing blow with her Highlander Hunter deck. A deck only she brought, incidentally, against bloodyface’s Quest Druid in the final match.

Liooon can lift the trophy proud, representing women and China too. She told the audience of her story waiting in line, and a man telling her this competitive scene isn’t for her. She encourages women to just believe in themselves. “Forget your gender,” she says via a translator. “Go for it!”

She also thanks the fans who have supported her, and those in attendance, as well as the crew behind the event. VKLiooon wins $200,000 for first place. Congratulations once again!
