Hearthstone has introduced the Year of the Wolf and Core Set updates earlier today alongside the launch of Festival of Legends, which is the first expansion of 2023.
This year the Core Set is set to be updated in April as the Forged in the Barrens, United in Stormwind and Fractured in Alterac Valley expansion sets are rotated out of Standard.
After the rotation, Standard will consist of Voyage to the Sunken City, Murder at Castle Nathria, March of the Lich King and Festival of Legends expansions plus the updated Core Set.
With the Hearthstone Core Set update, new Keywords will also be introduced and adjusted.
KEYWORD UPDATE: TRADEABLE
Introduced in the United in Stormwind expansion, the keyword is being brought back and as an evergreen keyword which blizzard states that the keyword will be used across most expansions for the foreseeable future, like Rush or Divine Shield.
The few popular Tradeable cards from the United in Stormwind and Fractured in Alterac expansions will be added into Core and players can expect to see new Tradeable cards introduced as time goes by.
RETURNING KEYWORD: MAGNETIC
Magnetic will also be temporarily introduced to the Core and will not necessarily stay in the Core beyond this update.
Unlike Tradeable, Magnetic is not becoming an evergreen keyword however Blizzard does plan to make more interesting Mech cards and other cards that are attractive to these returning Magnetic cards
PRIEST TUNE UP AND NEW KEYWORD: OVERHEAL
The new Keyword Overheal was created to make Priest healing feel more flexible and rewarding. As a new evergreen class mechanic, players should expect to see more Overheal cards being released as time goes by.
