Blizzard Entertainment has just announced the Saviors of Uldum, a new expansion for Hearthstone. It is the second chapter in the Rise of Shadows storyline, which began with the Dalaran Heist. The expansion will go live on 6 August 2019.
Saviors of Uldum promises lots of new content for the Hearthstone faithful. This includes new keywords, new Hero Powers, and 135 new cards. Below are some of the new content as listed in the expansion’s page.
What’s new?
- New keyword: Reborn
Minions with this keyword can be revived once when defeated, returning them to 1 health upon activation. - New mechanic: Plagues
Plagues allow you to enact a variety of powerful, board-sweeping effects. For example, one of the new cards can silence and destroy all minions. - New Quests
Quests return in this expansion and this time there are nine new ones. Completing quests will reward you with powerful alternate Hero Powers
As usual, you will be able to collect the new card packs by playing in Hearthstone’s Arena mode, beginning 6 August. Of course, you can also purchase them using in-game currency or real money. Blizzard has also mentioned that each player can claim one of the new Legendary Quest cards, randomly chosen from Saviors of Uldum.
The Solo Adventure mode for this expansion will only be available in September 2019. To find out more about the Saviors of Uldum or pre-purchase the card bundles, you can visit the official expansion page we’ve linked earlier.
