Blissey is the next Pokemon coming to Pokemon Unite, joining the roster this week. Blissey will release for Pokemon Unite on August 18th.
Unlike the previous roster addition Gardevoir, it looks like Blissey will be much more support-oriented, having skills like buffs as well as healing, competing with Edelgoss in the support category. Despite this, its kit can also be used for a more tanky build, giving the game a more diverse roster with what appears to be a hybrid tank-support.
One unique quirk shown by Blissey seems to be the ability to pass shots on the goal. In the trailer, you can clearly see Blissey seemingly catching points from another player before scoring it, though it could also just be a visual flourish.
Blissey is another Pokemon that appeared in the betas for Pokemon Unite, but was instead relegated to a post-launch release. Despite being announced officially first, we also still have no word on when Blastoise is coming to the game.
Despite this, we still haven’t seen any of Blissey’s stats yet. If its mainline counterpart is anything to go off of, Blissey is likely to also have tank properties, considering it’s got one of the highest base HP stats in the mainline games. Since softboiled is shown to work on itself, it also has a fair degree of sustainability, being able to access healing after a skirmish without using any items.
