Blazblue roguelite Entropy Effect is leaving Early Access, having announced the game’s full release date and its next playable character.
In a new trailer, 91Act announced that Blazblue Entropy Effect will release on January 31st, having been in Early Access since August.
“After more than four months of tuning and updates, our Early Access journey is finally coming to an end, as “BlazBlue Entropy Effect” is about to evolve into its “complete form””, the video description reads. “Having the opportunity to continuously improve this game has been our vision. Receiving so much enthusiastic interaction and support during the Early Access period has been our honor. Let’s all look forward to the official release together!”
The trailer also seems to imply the 1.0 release of the game will feature Taokaka, another new character.
Blazblue Entropy Effect is a side scrolling roguelike featuring characters from the Blazblue fighting game.
Despite this, its plot seems almost entirely new- you play as a robot simulating these characters in a series of experiments rather than the game itself being set in the Blazblue universe.
While the game was originally announced only for mobile devices for China, the developers eventually saw the game getting an English translation and PC release via Steam.
