Arc System Works has recently announced their upcoming BlazBlue game, BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War. The game will be released for the mobile platform, both iOS and Android. They have even setup a teaser site and announced it on their official Twitter account.
For those who are unfamiliar with the BlazBlue series, it is a fighting game series that has been popular in Japan and Europe. The game has manga, novels and even anime adaptations. There is a lore based on the BlazBlue world and players select characters in the game and play through campaigns following the lore.
The BlazBlue series has been released for both the console and PC and now they are coming to the mobile platform. There were versions of BlazBlue for the iOS and Android previously, however none of them were fighting games; instead they were only rhythm games and a card battle game based off the BlazBlue characters. Hopefully BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War will be a fighting game in its rightful genre.
