Fortunately for many fans, after quite some time since its original announcement, BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War, the mobile gacha game for the BlazBlue franchise, has announced it will launch on 16 February 2021. A new trailer has also been released, which you can watch below:
It’s been delayed for quite a while, having previously been suggested to release in 2018 after its 2017 announcement. The official website suggests it’s managed to hit 10,000 preregistrations, with milestones up to 100,000. Rewards include:
- 3,000: 150,000P$, AL replenishment item x5
- 5,000: Crystals x60 (enough for 2x gacha)
- 10,000: Gacha ticket x2
- 30,000: Crystals x90 (enough for 3x gacha)
- 50,000: Crystals x150 (enough for 5x gacha)
- 100,000: 4-star School Uniform Noel, 4-star Noel “Spellbook”, Large EXP crystals x10
The selectable protagonists are still in the game, which is some form of RPG instead of a fighting game many might have hoped for. In any case, BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War will finally be coming out on 16 February pending any further delays, so you can check it out for yourselves to make your judgment calls. There’s a whopping twenty-nine page prologue you can read if you can understand Japanese as your entry into the game, so check that out too.
You can check out the game’s official website and Twitter for further information.
