The latest title of the Blade & Soul franchise, Blade & Soul: Revolution, has launched in South Korea today. The game is available on both Android and iOS devices.
Netmarble first announced Blade & Soul: Revolution in November last year. Since then, the company released trailers and gameplay to keep fans hyped. Prior to the release, Netmarble released a demo during G-Star 2018. We managed to try out the demo and gave our thoughts on during the event last month.
At the start of the game, players need to pick a character from the four available races. Other than that, players can also customize their character ranging from height to smaller details like eyebrows. Expect great details in the graphics as the game runs on the Unreal Engine. Blade & Soul: Revolution also features multiple classes to choose from such as Blade Master and Destroyer. Only the Machinist class is restricted to the Lyn race.
Similar to the original, players have free movement across the map. The controls may feel familiar for some players as it resembles that of more recent RPGs. Furthermore, the game rewards players for chaining combos. By chaining combos, players will receive bonus damage output to clear enemies quicker. In addition, dodging and blocking are necessary in keeping your character alive.
At the moment, there are no news regarding a possible global release for the game. We will keep an eye on any updates of a global release.
