Blade & Soul 2 released an online showcase video on their official Youtube channel, showcasing peeks into the world of the simply named sequel in the franchise. You can watch the full video below:
This Blade & Soul 2 showcase is meant to highlight the battle system in the game, highlighting “stylish action”, where you can respond accordingly to enemy actions from their visual cues, much like an ARPG. They’ve also given sweeping views of the locales of this Eastern fantasy world, with a character swooping through the air.
Pre-registrations for the game have also commenced in South Korea, with the MMORPG due for release sometime in 2021. Blade & Soul 2 will be coming out for mobile devices, presently only for its home country as far as we know. The sequel will “inherit” the story and features of its predecessor, while having its own identity and gameplay style. Besides coming out for Android and iOS, it’ll also be available through NCsoft’s cross-play platform, PURPLE. You can check out the official website here.
The showcase footage really does make it look like a new era for the Blade & Soul series is on the horizon, whenever it finally releases for its home country, then hopefully in the near future for international fans. For the time being, international fans can pre-register for Blade & Soul Revolution, which will be launching sometime 2021.
