Blade & Soul 2 is now available for pre-download in South Korea ahead of its launch at 00:00 KST, 26 August 2021. To commemorate the occasion, the launch trailer has been released:
Blade & Soul 2 is available to pre-download on both iOS and Android devices, and PC via NCsoft’s cross-play service, PURPLE. PC players can get additional features when playing through PURPLE, namely, the Boss Timer and the Item List. The Boss Timer is self-explanatory; boss monsters which have been felled will respawn after a certain period, and PURPLE will be able to inform you when that happens so that you can start planning that farming schedule. The Item List is likewise easy to understand, where you can check out your acquired items and sort them by type.
The series is quite the juggernaut in its home country. Blade & Soul 2 managed to garner 7.46 million pre-registrations, trumping Lineage 2M – which is available on the same platforms – which itself accrued a staggering 7.38 pre-registrations. For all intents and purposes, the sequel looks to be pushing the series into a new era.
For global players, Blade & Soul Revolution launched globally in March 2021. Fans should be able to expect this sequel to be heading worldwide at some point in the future, so stay tuned for that.
