G2 Studios and Good Smile Company have just posted a new teaser trailer for Black Rock Shooter Fragment, its upcoming smartphone game based on the titular franchise.
Among other things, the trailer showcases an overview of the game world, accompanied by BGM composed by the renowned TeddyLoid. We are also treated to a new teaser visual crafted by Rui Tomono. As previously reported, the game is part of the franchise’s tenth anniversary celebrations, spawning from an illustration by huke. It’s seen plenty of merchandise and anime, with a new anime adaptation, DAWNFALL, set to air 3 April 2022. Fans should be able to expect it on international streaming platforms at some point, which have not been clarified on the English Black Rock Shooter portal.
As for the game itself, the story will take place in the 22nd century, where you will have a fateful encounter with a girl whose eyes burn with blue flame as you begin to fight back against some hostile force. There’s no hint of what the game would actually be like for now, so you’ll have to stay tuned for that. Black Rock Shooter FRAGMENT is still tentatively to be launching in Japan sometime Fall 2022, with a global release to follow suit.
