Black Desert Mobile has seen a smooth grand launch, and has achieved its position as #1 game app in North America and major Southeast Asian regions! Since the game’s grand launch on 11 December, Black Desert Mobile is servicing over 150 countries in seven languages, including English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Thai, and Indonesian.
People have been highly expecting the game’s release, hitting more than 4.5 million pre-registrations. The game is rated 4.5 on the Google Play Store, attracting enough users to queue on the first day. To ensure a pleasant gameplay experience for all Adventurers, Pearl Abyss has added high-performance servers since the pre-download stage to provide stable services.
Black Desert Mobile ranked #1 in the “Top Free Games” category on the Google Play Store on 14 December. It is also currently ranked first in “Role Playing” for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The game was listed as the best free game for both iOS and Android in Thailand on 8 and 11 December too. Likewise in major Southeast Asian regions including Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia, it topped the Top Free Games chart for both app stores. It doesn’t stop there, being one of the top free games in Europe on the Google Play Store: first in Russia, second in France and third in Germany.
“Even though the mobile MMORPG genre is still growing in North America and Europe, the popularity of the Black Desert IP and the stabilization of our services have made the grand launch a good start. We’re looking to provide a long-term service, so we plan to attract a lot of users in the early stage.” – Pearl Abyss CBO Kevin Kim
Last but not least, Black Desert Mobile was nominated for both Best Audio/Visual Accomplishment and Best Game Engine at the Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards 2020. Check out the game’s official website here.
