Capcom was looking for beta testers for their unannounced mobile game last month and we have been speculating that it might be an FPS game. Our guess turns out to be a miss, as Capcom has now announced Black Command that features military simulation gameplay instead of FPS.
In Black Command, you will be running your own private military company, travels around the globe and lead an elite team of mercenaries to fight for profit.
Here are the key features according to the app page:
- Upgrade your forces with real-world small arms and gear.
- More than 150 weapons.
- Maneuver your forces from a satellite view tactical map.
- Gain a strategic edge by guiding you forces into flanking positions, pincer manoeuvres and traps.
- Decide when and where your forces fight.
- All-new and unique gameplay.
- A diverse range of missions including search and destroy, assassination and combined arms engagements.
The game is coming out this fall for both iOS and Android. Although the pre-registration is only available in Japan now, we can tell that a global version is definitely under development too (yes, we joined the beta test and it is in English) so stay tuned!
