BiliBili Comics, an online comic platform that offers readers a library of webtoons and manhwa to read, will shut down at the end of February.
According to an official announcement posted on the BiliBili Comics website, the service is set to end its operations on 29th February 2024 at 14:00 PM SGT due to a shift in “strategic direction”.
“We regret to inform you that due to a change in our strategic direction, we will terminate our online comics service on 29 February 2024 at 14:00 PM. After this time, you will no longer be able to log in to our Comic Service or access Digital Content on our Comics Service.” the announcement reads.
BiliBili Comics have stated that their recharge and registration portal will be disabled, and users will no longer be able to register for new accounts or top-up comic coins in their existing account, and recommends users to either use up any remaining comic coins or request for a refund.
Users can also delete their account through the “Account Termination” section or request for copies of their personal information by contacting them through email.
The BiliBili Comics website and app were initially launched in 2021 and started as a free service, until they adopted the coin top-up system where users can unlock chapters using the website currency.
