As we continued to explore the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2023, we got a chance to try out the demo for Liora and the Eden of Stars, a rhythm game with a distinctive art direction.
Liora and the Eden of Stars is a rhythm game where players control the titular character on her journey to compose music and design stages as she moves along in a side-scrolling gameplay set in a mystical theater. The primary objective of the game is to have the player make Liora’s dream come true on a beautifully crafted stage.
The game has a distinctive detailed and texture 2D art style that invokes a feeling of a mystical fairy tale world with a soothing dreamlike soundtrack playing in the background.
Quesera Games, a 4-man development team, is the developer of the game and is said to have spent 3 months crafting this demo for the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2023.
According to the developers, they are currently planning to release the game for PC, consoles, and mobile devices, as well as hoping to launch the title sometime this year. They also expressed that due to the simplistic nature of the gameplay, they are planning to add a lot more levels in the full game.
Anyone interested in Liora and the Eden of Stars can follow the game’s official Twitter for further updates.
