Battlefield 2042 Season 2 Master of Arms is just around the corner with it coming out on the 30th August, developers DICE and Ripple Effect Studios have revealed a bunch of brand new content featuring a new specialist, a new map, an arsenal of new weapons and much more.
New Map: Stranded
Set in Panama, the new map Stranded is located in a desert lake drained of water and is currently hiding some dark secrets. The new map also showcases a wrecked container ship which just so happen to house an illicit arms trading center where players can fight both inside and around the ship.
New Specialist: Charlie Crawford
Charismatic and love taking risks, the second season of Battlefield 2042 introduces new specialist Charlie Crawford who can support your squad with his teamwork skills of placing down a minigun on the battlefield. Crawford’s trait makes him be able to revive an ally while being able to replenish their gadget ammo, while his own gadget ammo allows him to summon a mounted vulcan stationary minigun which can be used by anyone on the field.
New Weapons
AM40
The AM40 is a powerful carbine where it’s design to offer players a midpoint between an assault rifle and a submachine gun, which is suitable for players who often switch between long range precision fights and close-quarter combat.
Avancys
The Avancys is a tech light-machine gun which is designed for maximum mobility and attachment compatibilities. Nimble but powerful and given how machine guns can carry around tons of ammo, this weapon is useful for providing fire support.
PF51
Blurring the lines between an SMG and a pistol, the PF51 boasts a huge magazine and is ideal when fighting groups of enemies. A friendly reminder that switching to your pistol sidearm is always faster than reloading your main weapon, especially if your pistol has a large magazine like the PF51.
New Gadget: Concussion Grenade
Create tactical confusion among nearby foes by temporarily disorienting them with this new concussion grenade gadget to either help you get the drop on your enemies or using it to make a tactical retreat.
New Vehicles
EBLC-RAM
Traverse the battlefield in this unique four-seater vehicle capable of extreme maneuverability at lower speeds. The EBLC-RAM can protect itself from incoming damage with its AMPs ability which can deflect incoming projectiles as well as being able to place down a spawn beacon on the battlefield.
Polaris RZR
The Polaris RZR is a lightweight buggy where you and your teammate can jump into as you zip across the battlefield and surprise your enemy by gaining the tactical position advantage over them.
New Features and Battle Pass
Coming to the second season of Battlefield 2042 comes the brand new season 2 battle pass which offers 100 tiers for players to unlock either the free or premium content. The free tier will give players access to the new Specialist Charlie Crawford, weapons, vehicles, cosmetics, and more. And by completing the premium tiers, players will be able to unlock Skins, BFC, Player Cards, Weapon Charms, Takedown and more.
Season 2 also offers a new feature in the form of Assignments where players can unlock Battlefield to earn Vault Weapons. The Vault Weapons are weapons which were previously available only in the Battlefield Portal, and now you’ll be able to get and use them in All-Out Warfare after being unlocked. As of now, you’ll be able to get the M60E4 and M16A3 and eventually more weapons will be available as the season progresses.
Not only that, the Assignments also lets players be able to unlock old content from the Season 1 Battle Pass which include the Season 1 Specialist Lis and other vehicles and weapons which you might’ve missed out the first time around.
New Things for the Battlefield Portal
The arsenal of Battlefield Portal is expanding with 5 new weapons from across Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 as well as Battlefield 1942. Brand new extra small playspaces which focuses on the best areas for close quarter combat across several current maps which allows players to build up intense experiences.
There are also new Builder capabilities as they can leverage the Battlefield toybox even further within Battlefield Portal. Players can choose the Custom Conquest preset which allows players to make new rules as well as modifying how the Conquest game mode is played.
