The official YouTube channel for the Meta Quest has unveiled a new teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham Shadow.
The game is slated to release in late 2024 and will be exclusive to the Meta Quest 3.
Developed and published by Camouflaj and Oculus Studios, the VR game is made in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC.
This game will be the latest entry to the Batman Arkham series and the second VR Batman game after Batman: Arkham VR.
Camoflaj also has experience working on other VR games based on superhero IPs, with Iron Man VR being one of their most popular titles.
The 24-second teaser shows Bruce Wayne as Batman chasing after a rat down an alleyway, before shortly being surrounded by a swarm of the vermin.
No additional information has been released yet, but based on personal speculation (and the sheer number of rats featured), we predict that this game might feature the Ratcatcher as a main antagonist.
In the comics, the Ratcatcher has the ability to manipulate rats and communicate with them. In addition, he can manipulate objects using his arsenal of deadly cyanide gas. All of this information matches up with what we saw in the teaser.
More information about Batman: Arkham Shadow will be revealed at the 2024 Summer Games Fest on 7 June, including a world premiere reveal from Camouflaj and Oculus Studios.
