Shin Megami Tensei V (SMT V) and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (SMT V: Vengeance) sales combined have sold over 1.6 million copies worldwide, Atlus announced. On the Steam platform alone, the peak number of players has reached an all time peak of over 21,000 players with the second day after release reaching more than 20,000.
SMT V was initially released on November 11, 2021 for the Switch in Japan with the worldwide release happening the day after. This was the first time the SMT series was launched near-simultaneously worldwide. The enhanced version of the game SMT V: Vengeance was then later launched for the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam on June 14, 2024.
Needless to say, this is the most action SMT V: Vengeance has seen for now as compared to the Persona series whose sales are much higher. As mentioned, Shin Megami Tensei V and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance sales have officially sold over 1.6 million copies.
Celebrating over 1.6M units sold worldwide for the Shin Megami Tensei V series… and counting.
