The announcement trailer, narrated by series voice actor Hiroaki Hirata, showcases the device’s impressive capabilities. Available in Daisuke and Ken color variants, the D-3 25th Color Evolution features significant hardware upgrades including a full-color screen, vibration motor, and USB-C charging with a rechargeable battery. While the shell design pays homage to the original 2001 toy, it has been completely redesigned to accommodate the new technology.
Players can relive the story of Digimon Adventure 02 by choosing their partner Digimon and embarking on an adventure as a chosen child. The game features over 120 Digimon and follows the anime’s storyline across both real and digital worlds. Ken and Wormmon are unlockable allies rather than starting options.
The gameplay experience is enhanced with changing backgrounds based on location, background music, and newly recorded voice lines from the original cast. Combat includes key evolution mechanics from the series such as Armor evolution, Jogress evolution, and Mode change, complete with animations and haptic feedback.
A premium Paildramon version Deluxe Set will also be available, featuring the Jogress color D-3 along with exclusive bonuses including 10 miniature Digimental figurines from the TV show and movie, an artbook showcasing the device’s assets, and special picnic items.
The D-3 25th Color Evolution is priced at 11,000 yen for the standard Daisuke and Ken versions, while the Deluxe Set Paildramon Color variant costs 16,500 yen. Pre-orders are currently open on Premium Bandai with shipping expected in July 2025.
