With the time that we had, we only tried 3 games.
Godzilla VR:
Godzilla VR is a single player game although you will be entering with 3 other people. Everything around you are in a mess and you are tasked to kill Godzilla before he destroys the city. The ride takes about 10 minutes. Before that, there’s a 3 minute clip that will brief you on the mission.
During the gameplay, there are not much that you can control other than the shooting missile. The visual cues of the gameplay are amazing. Godzilla’s Atomic Breath shoot through the buildings and the building collapse compensates the lack of actual gameplay.
The game will assist the player well even if you are not able to understand Japanese. It tells you visually when to shoot your missiles and guide you towards a self-sacrificing ending.
Gundam Unicorn VR Daiba Aerial Clash VR Activity:
In this ride you get to play as RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. At first you will be seeing Sinanju causing a mess. Then, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam statue in front of the Diver City Tokyo Plaza came to life and come towards you. Unicorn Gundam will let you be on his palm while he deal with Sinanju with one arm.
There isn’t any actual gameplay but you get to see Sinanju’s actions more than Unicorn. Many fans of Sinanju will be please with the fighting scene where he come towards and attempts to kill you with his beam saber. Other than the fighting scene, the model of Sinanju definitely will please as every detail is properly shown.
In the end, you can see Unicorn goes into “Destroy mode” and successfully fend off Sinanju. There are no clarification on Sinanju’s situation as fight ends with an explosion.
Evangelion VR The Throne of Souls: Berserk
This has been one of the staple from the reviews and we tried it out as well. This VR game has more gameplay compared to the other ones. In this game, you play as one of the Evangelion mecha to fight Sachiel (forgive me if I’m wrong).
Overall, the gameplay was pretty well polished compared to the other 2 that we tried. The gameplay feedbacks are very on point as you can feel a 4D experience from the game. To aim with our mecha, we will need to adjust our heads/vision and then move the units with the controller comfortably place on each side of the seat.
If you failed to defeat the angel, you will first hand experience getting eaten by the angel.
There are also a merchandise store and a cafe for you to check it out! In terms of pricing, it may vary for each of you on how you evaluate expensive or cheap.
This also concludes our journey within Mazaria. Overall, Mazaria is awesome in terms of VR games and its variety and its spacious environment for VR. Their seats for most of the game that we tried are pretty comfortable, especially for Evangelion. A small tip here that you should really take note, DO NOT GO DURING A PUBLIC HOLIDAY. There will be a huge queue time for each game.
