Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has set up online storefronts via Shopee and Lazada.
The stores are open to shoppers in Thailand and Singapore, and will sell physical editions of games by the publishers with all the same editions you’d get in stores.
These include games for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch, but does not include any games for Xbox One.
“We are delighted to make the games that our audience love more accessible from where they are and also offer great prices on titles that they have never before,” said Rainel Tan, General Manager of Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia. “We will do our best to expand the e-commerce network to include the rest of the countries in Southeast Asia and we will also work on exciting releases on Shopee and Lazada to offer our customers a differentiated experience shopping on these platforms with us.
The store contains more than just Bandai Namco Entertainment’s in-house titles, like Gundam Extreme Vs Maxiboost On. It also has games that were published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia for the region such as Marvel’s Avengers, which was published by Square Enix in other regions.
It’s also a good way to get your hands on the Collector’s Edition of Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, which might be a lot more elusive since it has been several months since the game’s launch.
