Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate III has released its final patch of the game – Patch 8. This patch will include a cross-play feature, a photo mode and 12 new subclasses.
All Patch 8 details are as follows:
- Cross-Play Feature: Patch 8 will allow cross-play between PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Mac to ensure players can party up with friends across different platforms with ease.
- Photo Mode: Players can snap photos in-game and during cutscenes, dialogue and combat. All photos can be edited with a series of post-processing effects and stickers.
- 12 New Subclasses: The latest patch will introduce brand-new subclasses, all with new abilities, visual effects, animation and summons. Additionally, Oathbreaker Knight will have voiced dialogue and each class will have a new way of play.
- Modding Toolkit Update: Partial level editing and quality-of-life updates will be brought to the games official Modding Toolkit.
Patch 8 has aimed to deliver the highly requested community features as well as adding Steam Trading Cards, allowing players on the Steam platform to create exclusive features such as badges and unlock profile backgrounds and emoticons.

Each one of Baldur’s Gate III’s playable classes will get their own subclass – all subclasses following their corresponding class are as follows:
- Bard – College of Glamour
- Barbarian – Path of Giants
- Cleric – Death Domain
- Druid – Circle of Stars
- Fighter – Arcane Archer
- Monk – Way of The Drunken Master
- Paladin – Oath of the Crown
- Ranger – Swarmkeeper
- Rogue – Swashbuckler
- Sorcerer – Shadow Magic
- Warlock – Hexblade
- Wizard – Bladesinging
Each subclass will have a linked video guide for players and fans to get a better understanding of every 12 subclass.
