Larian Studios has announced the physical Deluxe Edition for Baldur’s Gate 3, which includes many, many discs for fans of physical media.
The Deluxe edition is available for preorder now on the Larian Studios website, being priced at EUR79.99 (MYR406.77) and set to release in Q1 2024.
According to the Larian Studios Twitter account, console versions of Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition will be playable-on-disc- meaning no need to worry about installing the game on your console first before you can play.
“Playable-on-disc? Must be the Baldur’s Gate 3 – Deluxe Edition”, the tweet reads.
The PS5 version of the game comes on two discs, while the Xbox Series X|S version comes with three and PC, one.
While the PC edition does include a disc, they’ve clarified that the PC physical release will still require additional downloads for it to work.
Additionally, the Deluxe Editions come with plenty more goodies, from a special game box to patches and stickers.
These consist of a special Mindflayer poster, as well as a World Map of the Sword Coast.
In the set players will also receive a total of 32 Baldur’s Gate-themed stickers, as well as two decorative patches.
There’s also the game’s original soundtrack, which also reiterates its commitment to physical media by coming in three separate discs.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has been one of the biggest releases this year, dominating public consciousness since its release in August.
The game has you playing through the Forgotten Realms as your own custom D&D character or one of the pre-made characters, with multiple choices affecting your gameplay experience.
It’s nominated for multiple categories including Game of the Year at this year’s The Game Awards.
