Square Enix has just announced the launch of its new gaming brand BALAN COMPANY. The new arm will oversee Square Enix’s action games releases, as it pools together developers, visual and music creators from both inside and outside of the company.
The “COMPANY” part of BALAN COMPANY refers to the coming together of all our creative staff, in the manner of a musical cast or theatre troupe. It symbolizes how the professionals from all the different disciplines involved in creating BALAN COMPANY games form a team like a company of players, with the game itself as their stage, to tell the greatest stories and provide the ultimate in action game entertainment to audiences around the world.
A teaser site has also been launched today, to provide information on BALAN COMPANY’s future products, so be sure to drop by. Apart from the lofty description, not much else is know about the new company for the time being, particularly as to the games that will be coming out their way. Having one studio to focus on one genre certainly is quite a move, and is certainly much nicer to know than it being yet another smartphone gaming division. With the new console generation just around the corner, there is much to look forward to from them.
